Oweesta’s services provide resources for underserved communities, including Native communities, to create sustainable jobs, fund commercial real estate development, access affordable housing, and engage in sustainable farming, ranching, and fishing. An example of Oweesta’s work includes offering financial literacy training to “underbanked” Native communities in a format that connects ancestral experiences with modern day financial management.
