Grantee Profile

The Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC) is a grassroots, membership organization run by returning citizens (formerly convicted persons) who are dedicated to ending the disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions and creating a more comprehensive and humane reentry system that will enhance successful reentry, reduce recidivism and increase public safety. In addition to spearheading the successful effort to restore voting rights to 1.4 million returning citizens in Florida—which was approved in 2018 by a 64.5 percent majority—FRRC has been the vanguard for initiatives to protect democracy, promote meaningful criminal justice reform and to break down barriers to jobs and housing for returning citizens.

About Our Grants

In 2021, the Woodcock Foundation awarded the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition a $50,000 grant to support the FRRC Education Fund and support FRRC’s efforts as a grassroots membership organization to end disenfranchisement and discrimination against people with convictions.
