Center for Election Innovation and Research
CEIR’s mission is to restore trust in the American election system and promote election procedures that encourage participation and ensure election integrity and security.
Grantee Profile
Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR) is an innovative non-profit with a proven track record of working with election experts from around the country and from both sides of the aisle. It works directly with secretaries of state, as well as other election officials, to maintain accurate and complete voter lists, ensure eligible voters are registering, and help states secure their election technology against interference. Over the past six years, CEIR has engaged in extensive research on election integrity and policy, supported states to adopt technology that facilitates data integration and voter registration, and worked to ensure the cybersecurity of statewide voter registration databases. CEIR also educates the media and works to build accurate narratives around elections. The Election Official Legal Defense Network (EOLDN) is a project of CEIR, which connects licensed, qualified, pro bono attorneys from its network of law firms with election administrators who need advice or assistance. CEIR started EOLDN to provide free and confidential advice for election officials countrywide on legal matters ranging from seeking a protective order to requesting defense in a lawsuit.
