PRI Profile

This PRI was made to Calvert Foundation in support of the Women Investing in Women Initiative (WIN-WIN), which was launched in March 2012 and surpassed $20 million in loans in December 2013. Through the process of creating a lending strategy focused on women, Calvert Foundation discovered that its capital could be most useful at the intersection of women, poverty and clean energy. In November 2014, WIN-WIN committed an additional $20 million to finance development and distribution of clean energy products in off-grid communities in developing countries. These products create an outsized impact on the health and livelihood of thousands of women.

Through the end of 2016, WIN-WIN has invested $40 million to support organizations around the world that are empowering women and addressing their unique needs.
