As the largest nonprofit network in North America, NCN advances the vital role, capacity, and voice of charitable nonprofits by working with and through state and national networks, striving toward a vision of a more connected and powerful nonprofit community equipped to advance the public good.

NCN drives transformative change by championing beneficial public policies, connecting nonprofits nationwide to foster collaboration and amplify their impact, and serving as a trusted source of practical operational resources. Notable achievements include securing $50 billion in Paycheck Protection Program loans for approximately 200,000 nonprofits during the COVID-19 pandemic, successfully defeating attempts to politicize nonprofits in 2017, and advocating for landmark reforms that streamlined federal grantmaking and increased indirect cost reimbursement rates.

About Our Grants

In 2025, the Woodcock Foundation awarded the National Council on Nonprofits a one-year, $100,000 general operating support grant to support efforts to champion, connect, and inform nonprofits nationwide to improve lives in local communities.
